Icons for Icons (Anthropomorphic Fun)

Okay, here's some icons for some of the chars from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series.

1. This is an icon of Delirium when she was Delight. It's a very sad story, though whether it was merely a change or an actual loss of innocence for her no one will ever know. Delirium isn't meant to be understood.
2. This is a Delirium icon. The text is Endless if you can't read it, because, well, she's one of the 'Endless' like the rest of her family.
3. This is Del again, and the text says 'Am I Broken?'
4. This is Del's Sister/Brother the genderless Desire. Or at least its eye. I really like how this one turned out.
5. This is Death, the second oldest of the Endless. She's really nice actually. Probably the friendliest in her family next to Del when she makes sense.
6. Death again, although the pic isn't very good... *wince*
7. This is the eldest Endless brother, Destiny, with his book chained to his wrist.
8. This is the main character of the series, Dream, or Morpheus as he's sometimes called. He's a little depressed after his first quest ends and his sister, Death, finds him moping. He insists he's just feeding the pigeons.
9. Another Dream icon, this one I really like how it turned out as well.

Icons this time around...

Okay, here are some icons. Same basic stuff as I said with the banners. I have images here from a bunch of different sources, but this time I'll try to comment on each.

1. A Stargate icon, really random, pic of the chevron thingy on the gate.
2. A pic of Dakota Fanning, who I think is awesome, random icon without character affiliation this time.
3. This is River from Firefly/Serenity, the fonts are awful, but I like how the effects turned out for once... It's not as horrible as ususal.
4. This is Simon from Firefly/Serenity, the text isn't bad and its sort of cross between fangirlness and irony considering despite how imposing he looks in the pic, he's a bit of a wimp.
5. This is Zoe from Firefly/Serenity, the text referring a bit to sort of seeming ironic considering she's a soldier, but at the same time she has a loving marraige and is an honorable individual.
6. Just some random anime pic I thought was really cool... No specific char in mind.

1. 2.

3. 4.

5. 6.

Pathetic Attempts at "Editing"

Okay, I have little experience in posting images, but I would like to put up some banners and icons I've edited up. All from a variety of sources.

Here's some forumite banners for me, edited with credit to unknown sources as I do not keep logs on where I get all my images. The ones from webcomics though, are mostly from Inverloch on http://www.seraph-inn.com/

Sickly Sweet...

I'm horribly, terribly, ickily sick.

I've lost my voice, got a faucet in the middle of my face, a headache worthy of babysitting, and coughing has deprived me of sleep except during those glorious hours of drug and vitimin induced slumber... Nothing too serious, but I really hate being ill. Least the nausia's come down.

Well, since I've been having such a glorious time I figure I'll rant.

All this week was supposed to be fun spirit week with banquet and our one act plays. I was supposed to dress up as Kara Thrace tomorrow in my fatigues... Now its all RRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUINNEEEEEEEEEDDD!!!

Street Cred.

I just came back from credentialing for M.U.N. or Model United Nations which is a school organization based(obviously) on the UN. My school is The People's Republic of Georgia, and credentialing is where we sit in front of a panel that asks us questions on our committee topics... Anyway we sat there for almost four hours waiting for a little five second session and I even forgot to ask if I passed or not! Isn't that unbelievable? Stupid me!

Less Mass...

Okay, extremely weird mood today... I know its Christmas, and I should be all 'holiday spirit' but... It seems so utterly alien that this day could be special. Not that I'm belittling the event itself... Merely stating that this day, has been so other-worldly in its normality. I woke up tired, and after presents, church, and a christmas dinner could think of nothing specatular to do. I read, for a few hours, then here I am writing. Writing... That's what it all comes down to for me... Kind of pathetic for me to think about it, but if I fail at writing for a career I think I'm pretty much sunk... I'd have to resort to *ambient screams of horror* teaching. And believe me when I say you do not want to have me for a teacher....

Have to log for now, this is really random, so may just delete it, but... yeah...

The Dreaded Intro...

*sigh* Okay, intro post here. I always hate these so lets get the pain over with quickly, shall we? I'm Sarah, this is my LiveJournal, and if anyone is actually reading this you would be called a reader. Beautiful, isn't it? Such co-dependancy, so much getting off topic again... Okay. You want to learn more about me as of the moment I started this you can read my bio. Updates will be in the form of small little posts as we go on. Time keeps moving.

Just like to promote my currently unfinished site real quick:

It's a role-play site, which for those of you who don't know what my definintion of role-playing is:

It's like a combination of reading and writing, where you create a character and write out their actions, while other people are writing out their's. It's really... fun. I do recommend it for getting up literate typing speed and practice in writing though. It helps.

Anyway. My site is a little time-traveling role-play. Not done yet, but I promise it'll be a hoot once I get it up and running.
